
The Jacobs Family Foundation has a mission of exploring new philanthropic roles and relationships for strengthening under-invested neighborhoods, and making grants that support innovative, practical, and sustaining strategies for community change. Their Market Creek Plaza ownership strategy in San Diego is a redevelopment plan that transforms 45 acres of mostly unused, untended properties into a vibrant, lively community hub.
Abundantia Consulting in collaboration with PolicyLink is charged with documenting the investor strategy and collecting baseline and ongoing data through four major strategies: an investor survey; IPO pathway analysis; community survey of non-investors; and focus groups. The goal of the evaluation is to demonstrate community change through this unique development strategy.
